When spring comes and plants turn green, you may suddenly recall the silent spring rain. We tend to forget spring rain which nourishes everything silently but we will never forget its kindness.

Life is not easy to anyone. To Principal Zhang, she lost the love of her parents and experienced harsh childhood. The deep-rooted memories are the door of home opening to her in chilly wind, a half piece of pancake given to her when she was hungry, and the hands rescuing her dignity when she might lose it. Principal Zhang has remembered all of these and given out more love to others, providing a warm home to the children.

On October 16, 1993, Hangzhou Guotai Foreign Language and Arts School, a boarding school was founded. Guotai means the country is prosperous in Chinese language. Guotai is a school with big dreams. You may not see Principal Zhang rushing for approval procedures with her broken leg. You may not understand her love beyond profit-pursued education. You may be surprised by her story of developing a school of three students to an educational group having three thousand students. Whatsoever, you should believe that love is the only reason.

 

Influence of Broadness and Liberality

Guotai is a school to teach knowledge, develop capabilities and personalities, and foster lofty sentiment. It is also the goal of Principal Zhang for the purpose of love.

Educationists say that the best education is to “create personality with personality and enlighten wisdom with wisdom.”

Pursuing beautifulness: to build the campus graceful and nice and show different views along the change of seasons. Pursuing a state-of-art education environment is the image of the school. There is no the best but the perfect.

Down to earth: The most important thing in our lives is to be a person with good mind and good health. We have big dreams but we are down-to-earth.

All-around: Art and literal education complement each other. Everyone is a talent and has the competence. We should not be a geek only knowing how to deal with tests.

Openness: to adapt to the future and gain a pass to the future world, which means to gain fluent English communication ability.

Liberality means not to restrain one’s personality. This is a time that everyone shows their talents.

When Principal Zhang creates your personality with her personality, please keep in mind the most important thing- humanity. Without the deepest and broadest love, no such wisdom will generate. Principal Zhang is painstakingly drawing a blueprint for your lives.

When you enter Guotai, you are young and may feel helpless for losing the happiness of playing. When you leave Guotai, you are still young but we hope you have a heart of love built with the six years of love education.
